Descriptive text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing.
Instructional textsInstructional texts are instructions that are present every day in our daily lives, both in school and beyond. The very use of technological means we require following directions allowing the management ofthis type of instructional texts. Instructional texts intended to guide procedures in detail, clearly and accurately for an activity either simple or complex.
Scientific text
A scientific text is basedon the use of scientific language. It is a type of text that calls for clear language, with syntax not too complex and ordered prayers. The goal is that the information not be misunderstood: thesetexts, therefore, must be accurate.
Narrative Text
The telling of a story or an account of a sequence of events. One of the four traditional forms of composition (along with description, exposition,and persuasion). Narration differs from exposition, which can also relate a sequence of events, in that narration need not be factual and may be written from the perspective of a character in the text.Informational Text
Text designed to convey factual information, rather than tell or advance a narrative. Informational text may employ techniques such as lists, comparing/contrasting, ordemonstrating cause/effect, and may be accompanied by graphs or charts. Most textbooks consist of primarily informational text.
