Lesson Plan July 6th and 7th, 2011

Teacher: Esthefanie Gutiérrez Cortés
Topic: Jobs/professions.
Objective: The students will be able to identify specific information related to professions.
Language focus: Teaching writing.
Prior knowledge: Vocabulary related to professions.
Level: 3rd and 4th Grade. Time: 80’

Warm up:
Teacher shows the students some pictures ofprofessions.

Teacher asks some questions such as:
* What profession do your parents do?
* What professions do you like?
* What would you like to be in the future?
Students answer these questions orally. (5’)

Pre during:
* Teacher gives the students a worksheet to work individually.
* Teacher gives key words: Doctor, firefighter, police officer, waiter, nurse, chef, postal worker,taxi driver, reporter, photographer, scientist, engineer, mechanic, psychologist, zookeeper, pilot, dentist, and lawyer.
* Teacher gives instructions and explains what they have to do. (5’)
