Bilingual Process

Most of the people think that simply speaking in other language using a basic vocabulary to communicate with other people or in different ways with their own language, they cantranslate a writing and understand what other people mean, maybe they can being bilingual people, but the issue go beyond of this.

It is not enough to can speak two languages and interact withother people; we are not bilinguals for this. When we developing our basic skills like listening, speaking, reading and writing, we are forgetting important factors like pragmatics, that remind us ourdevelopment in the real life, and how we can be direct and practice in what we want transmit to other people, and the phonetics to have a correct pronunciation when we are talking.

It is clear that wecan obtain more fluency in one language than other, with some exceptions in which is possible to have the same fluency in both, however the vocabulary and phonetics are things that people who say arebilingual don’t take in account. To be immersed in a language is a common form to learn a language, but without academic content they are guys who to make a lot of errors in reading and writing (ifthey know do it), and this do not allow them to have a good communication in their environment.

The principal idea as English students, is do not lose heart, but it is an invitation to improve allskills that we have to achieve this common goal for everybody. This is a process and is a reflection for who believe that they can communicate in other language, they are already bilinguals, to reviseall of this aspects, to take the control in different areas, to take into account in our learning process of second language.
