Achieving goals in life must be one of the biggest ambitions for people and there are two ways to find it and approach it through Leadership and Power. Even though both arerelated, they need to coexist in the most variants environments involving each feature to pursue a successful goal.
Through the years, Leadership has been representedas the way which a person can conduct a group to achieve a common interest. Can we talk about leadership without thinking in worldwide figures like Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi orBolivar? They are the best example of a good leader should be. On other hand, Power modifies and influences a group with or without resistance. Generally, Power usesweakness of people to pursue it.
Whereas Leadership tries to communicate and make a commitment towards successful, Power needs to force it constraining human needs. There aretwo theories that support these subjects. In one side, “The Leader Age” looks for planning and development of processes gathering, listening ideas and sharing points of view.Meanwhile, philosophers like Maquiavelli provided that it doesn't matter how a group achieved a goal. Most important it is to keep walking till the end without any regret.In stark contrast, to pursue a goal knowledge is necessary for both strategic. Leadership depends on the ability to handle control the work without the execution of power.These features are above and when a good team leader wants to create synergy between his partners.
In conclusion, I’m completely sure that Leadership and Power must gotogether and can’t be separated in any context. A leader needs to cultivate his leadership to win the trust of their team and this requires prudence and responsibility.
