Mago De Oz

Mago de Oz began in 1989 when drummer Txus contacted other musicians to form a band. After several years rotating musicians in the band, get a stable and began playing in small clubs of Madrid, wherehis style begins to be felt (especially the introduction of a violin, which allows mixing Celtic sounds and heavys).

In 1992 the group is finalist of Rock "Villa de Madrid". Two years later, in1994, shows the band's first album with the title of 'Wizard of Oz'. This is a self-produced album by the band members, allowing them to make themselves known and make a tour around the country, earningthe title of group revelation of 1995.

In 1996 he published his second work, a rock opera entitled 'Jesus Chamberi', which narrates the return of the son of God to earth in the Madrid of the latetwentieth century. The promotional tour was called "Via Crucis Tour" and served them to collect a huge success in all his concerts, establishing itself as one of the iconic rock groups in our country.In 1998 the Wizard of Oz recorded 'La Leyenda de la Mancha' BOUT background music of Don Quixote, by Miguel de Cervantes. This is his best album, with songs like "maritormes" or "molinos deviento" that passionately to his audience. The tour of this album is more extensive than the Wizard of Oz has made to date.

In September 1999, is re-released their first album, giving it the title of "1". For the new edition remasters sound, but keeping the same cover and original script.

In 2000 appearshis next album, entitled "Finisterra". This is an album that deals with the story of a pilgrim who walks the Camino de Santiago in the seventeenth century, but seen from the perspective of a man whofinds a CD-ROM in the year 2199 which tells of the adventures of this pilgrim.
