1: We have received the following ticket “We need to set up access rights to our shared folder X: as per SOX standard. The folders and people who should have access to the individual foldersis attached in the Excel sheet below. Also every user should have the X: drive mapped once they log in.”
1. Design and implement access rights for all the departments and users via ActiveDirectory. For the simplicity of the exercise use only modify (RW) access. Explain why your solution most efficient.
Solution:
* Create Folder X: if it does not exist
* Share the folder – accessto everyone
Set read, write, delete, list, and rename permissions on shared folders
Lock users to their home folder, hide other folders from view
Administrative options to hide the existence ofother users' folders
* Create Unique ID’S for every User if they don’t exist, no ADMIN ID’s needed in this case
All passwords stored in WS_FTP Server database are encrypted
Ability to enforcestrong password creation
Auto-expiring passwords with options to allow client reset
Rules on using previously used passwords

* Create AD groups for each Team
Management , SOX, Payroll , Document Control, Finance Support, BAPI, IC, FA, OTC, MD, LAB, Billing ,P2P, AP, Procurement, Expenses
* Give these AD groups access to subfolders, through Security tab, in the allow column , tick read & execute and also Write, since all the users will have RWaccess only
