1. Define an interest group, with examples.
An interests groups we can also called and advocacy or pressure group also is a lobbying group on our system we have a big diversity of interests groups, some of those have a political motivation, othersonly a self benefit like an economics groups, others groups are motivate by  an equality for all citizens. Interests group are create before the parties and been on our political system for long time
Political interests group like an ADA American for Democratic Action, this group is anti-republican and his anti-middle class program, they look for a new law can support a worker's collectivebargaining rights, social and economic justice and rebuild the middle class.
This interest group was found after Franklin D. Roosevelt died by his friends and spouse Eleanor Roosevelt.
They play a very important role in a democratic presidential campaign, they give scores to the senior advisor to Democratic President, Senator and Member of the Congress, they are one of the first interest groupsfight for the civilian rights between the 1940s and 1950s, they was behind of the education reform and antipoverty programs, environment protection, fair trade, and workers rights this group are opponent to wars.
They lobby philosophy is base on democratic action, they push for democratic and liberal values in America's policy.
NRA-ILA National Rifle Association and Institute of Legislation Actionthis is a clear example of Interests Group with an Economics purpose, founded in 1871 and his goal was a promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis, they now promote the shooting sport, this group count with a more an a million participants on his event, behind this Interests Group are the Arms Manufacturing Companies this companies try to stop all laws against arms and keep thesecond amendment they look for a law can help arms be available for everybody now and the future generations.
Because the arms business have a large profit they use their influence and money to attack any law against arms to any level Federal and State, they has different tactics to make influence on the congress vote to support or not laws, they can use their lobbying or can call and write tothe congress member, they also use money to finance campaigns on different levels federal and state.
Behind this Interests Group have a big organization, they have a magazine, a few foundations and web site because they not only try to make influence in the congress, they make influence on the citizen to get their support.
GLAD Gay and Lesbian Advocates and defenders. This interests group wasfound in 1978 on New England and defend a personal interest, the gays and lesbian population against discrimination based on sexual orientation they use their lobbying to make influence on congress to stop any law against marriage for same-sex couple, non discrimination for trans gender people in the work place, protection for people with HIV and they look for the right to full equality under theLaw.
 2. Discuss the relationship between interest group and political parties
The real power is on many lobbyist groups they are 435 member of the house and 100 senators and is 14.000 lobbyist register in Washington, this means is around 26 lobbyist per each congress member, they are the top industries representative and they also concentrate a lot power, statics show for each dollar thiscompanies spend they receive back 100 dollars on benefits, they give money to different campaigns to congress and president. 
Many politics want to take a lobbyist money because they believe they represent the real American. Others think the influence from lobbyist have is disproportional and they can make a huge influence in the congress and the house of representatives.
