Preventice medicine
1. Primary level will be developed during pre-pathogenic perido to avoid disease, its prupose is to PROMETE HEALTH.
a. health education: -thosewho have no knowladge at all
- those who know but do not use their knowledge (smokers)
b. Nutrition acording to age
c. Mental hygiene (school programsaccording to age in orrder to promote divelopment of personality)
d. Adequate home and work conditions
e. fenetical support ( when a congenital or hereditary disease is diagnosed befor birth, parentscan be prepared and education on what to expect)
f. regular health check- ups
Also ther are specific actions that help promoting health, souch as:
- Inmunizations
- Providing adequateprotection to avoid risk at work: masks for coal miners, to lead clothing if a person works with radioactive material
- Cleaning the envirnoment- make sure water sources are not polluted.
2. Secondarylevel. Takes place when the individual is already ill.
a. Early diagnosis and treatment ( diabetes, hypertension, cancer)
