Porter's 5 force analysis for competitive strategy

1.- Supplier Power
The number of suppliers of the unique product(in this case the TV programs in digital format for internet broadcasting) are basically the two main TV broadcasting companies in Mexico, because the contents that we intend to transmit by Internet arefrom their historical archives, so the prices would definitely be driven up by the suppliers, because of the uniqueness of the product and because they probably have been thinking in a similar idea(or have already implemented it like TVolucion's case).

The strength and control over us is mainly because of their copyright over the TV programs, because they can easily deny our company thechance of transmit their contents; so in few words, our suppliers have a really strong influence over us due to the few choices we have of asking for TV contents and how we need of their approval for thebroadcasting of those contents in Internet.

2.- Buyer Power
Our product is aimed to a large group of customers so its difficult for a few of them to dictate specific terms on us.The cost for ourcustomers to change to another service varies depending on the service. For example, if they choose Youtube, they receive a larger variety of free content but they lose quality and certainty of theavailability of the content. If they choose Tvolución, they receive free content but it's limited exclusively to shows from Televisa. If they choose to rent movies, they get a better price for the contentbut they need to go to a specific place before and after watching it.
