The simple past: was and were

   We use this tense when you want to talk about something at a definitetime in the past: yesterday, last night, in 2006 etc. |   | | Utilice este tiempo verbal cuando quiera hablar de algo posicionado en un momento definido en el pasado como por ejemplo ayer, anoche o en2006 etc. |
  The past simple of be is  '' was''or ''were'': the form depends on the subject as it is almost always the case. |   | |    El pasado del verbo ser, estar o tener es  ''was'' o''were'': la forma was o were depende del sujeto de la oración como de casi siempre se trata. |
