French writer who cultivated the genre of the autobiographical novel of adventure and children's story.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (29 June 1900-31 July 1944) was born into a noble family in the French city of Lyon. It was the third childof five children, the marriage of Viscount Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Exupery and Marie de Fonscolombe. It was a French writer and aviator famous as the author of The Little Prince and a series of adventure novels about aviation, such as Red Eye or Terre des hommes.
He was a successful military and commercial pilot. His life is peppered with all sorts of exploits and adventures that decisivelymarked his literary work, which reflects their life experiences, conception of friendship and love, and existential point of view. He disappeared in a plane crash off the coast of Marseille when he was in a military operation during World War II.

Although he lost his father at the age of four years Saint-Exupéry enjoyed a pleasant childhood, between the Castle Môle, owned by his grandmotherFonscolombe, and the castle of Saint-Maurice-de-Remens near Ambérieu, owned by her aunt, Mrs. Tricaud. His mother played a decisive role in his life, maintaining a good relationship with her and usually carteándose.

From an early age he felt a great interest in writing, mechanics and aviation. These passions will be a constant in his life, mixing both races, the aviator and writer. He received hisbaptism of the air in 1912 when his family summered in Ambérieu. Nearby, east of Saint-Maurice-de-Rémens was a small airfield. Antoine spent hours with the mechanics asking questions about airplanes and how they work. The impact caused his first flight in a Berthaud-Wroblewski, was such that even inspired a poem.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (29 de junio de 1900-31 de julio de 1944) nació en el seno de una familia noble en la ciudad francesa de Lyon. Era el tercer hijo, de cinco hermanos, del matrimonio entre el vizconde Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Exupéry y Marie de Fonscolombe. Fue un escritor y aviador francés famoso por ser el autor de El principito y unaserie de novelas de aventuras sobre aviación, como Vuelo nocturno o Tierra de hombres.
Fue un exitoso piloto militar y comercial. Su vida está salpicada de toda clase de hazañas y aventuras que marcan decisivamente su obra literaria, donde refleja sus experiencias vitales, su concepción de la amistad y el amor, y su punto de vista existencialista. Desapareció en un accidente aéreo cerca de la costade Marsella cuando se encontraba en una operación militar durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
