Conflict: The conflict of the movie Moneyball is thefinancial problems that plague a low-budget baseball team, the Oakland Athletics. As their best players are lured away by richer teams, manager Billy Beane has to think up new strategies to salvage thefuture of the underfunded Oakland A’s.
Rising Action: Beane realizes he needs to radically change how he evaluates what players can bring to the squad. As Beane and Brand attempt to forever changethe game system, using players that other teams would reject by different factors but consistently get on base, tensions rise between scouts, players, and coaches, leading the pair to engage in adrastic series of events. Suddenly, a miracle happens, the team begins to win game after game.
Climax: The climax of the film is the 20th consecutive victory towards the end of the regular season. Thegame of course ends with Scott Hatteberg’s dramatic pinch-hit home run, which in the movie is portrayed as: A’s manager Art Howe finally gave Hatteberg his big chance and Hatteberg came through and...
