INTRODUCCIÓN

A finales del mes de febrero se celebra el Festival Nacional de Música Pop, uno de los certámenes de música pop más importantes de España. A lo largo de su historia ha contado con lapresencia de los mejores artistas internacionales. Por su recinto han pasado artistas del prestigio de The Who, U2, Michael Jackson, The cranberries, etc.

    Su origen data del año 1980cuando un grupo de personas aficionadas al pop, decidieron organizar una velada con motivo de las fiestas locales de Murcia. El evento concitó un gran interés entre el público asistente, de modo que losorganizadores creyeron conveniente repetir la velada al año siguiente.
