New “America"

During the 1600 century Europeans colonies started to colonize the new “America”, a lot of people started to come in their majority people of English origin. This people create two societies known asthe Chesapeake and New England both had very distinct and unique characteristics. Why did these differences occur?
Well let’s start first with Chesapeake religion: Chesapeake regions includedcolonies as Maryland, Virginia, The New Jerseys and Pennsylvania. Maryland was the first proprietary colony, and was named by Lord Baltimore in honor of Queen Henrietta Maria, wife of Charles I this colonywas created with the purpose of help English Catholics who suffered political and religious persecution in England, but Catholics were not attracted and few of them settled down, unlike them,Protestant were attracted by the low-cost land that Baltimore offered, than, was so arise the coexistence between Catholics and Protestants which seemed friendly this only occurred for some time, later onBaltimore propose the Act of Religious Tolerance which was approved for the colonial assemble and it was the first law in the colonies conceding freedom of worship only for Christians.
New Englandreligion was another history first the colonies that comprised New England were Massachusetts Bay colony, Plymouth, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Heaven. The New Englanders were mostly PuritanSeparatists, who wanted religious freedom; they were very religious, all their beliefs were based on the family and extreme piety. John Winthrop was the future governor of Massachusetts Bay was personwho had dedicated his life to God and identified himself as puritan with a help of some purist they molded a society of strict religious participation.
Chesapeake society in the first half of theseventeenth century was molded by four powers: fragile government, the market for tobacco, the accessibility of land, and the need for labor. Chesapeake regions were characterized by large plantations...
