El Empire State con sus 102 pisos fue la admiración del universo, al ser el edificio más alto del mundo con 450 metros de altura.
Es muy interesante el panorama desde lo alto,especialmente a la puesta del sol.
Subir al Empire State Building es una de las atracciones más interesantes de la ciudad.
Es interesante la visita por el día, puesto que Manhattan esimpresionante y desde el Empire se domina toda la isla y parte de los alrededores. Pero también es muy recomendable subir por la noche, para ver el juego de luces de la ciudad.Algunos aconsejan subir de día al Rockefeller Center y de noche al Empire State.
Durante 40 años ostentó el título de edificio más alto del mundo, perdiéndolo tras la construcción delas Torres Gemelas del World Trade Center.
Se construyó a una gran velocidad, con un promedio de 4.5 pisos a la semana, completándose en un año y 45 días.
Los 30 pisos superioresson iluminados con diferentes colores dependiendo de las estaciones de año y las diversas celebraciones.
