Violence is a serious problem in the society. You may think that violence is killing people, or what happens in wars, or what happens in families with women or children abuse, but no, it’s nothing like that. We generally deny our own violence because we ignore we are conditioned to look at violence only in it’sphysically manifestation where we use physical force. Violence means a “Behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone, or something. Strength of emotions or an unpleasant or destructive natural force.” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary 2013). You may say that nothing of this has to be with you, or with your family, but I want you to read this, so you can know, and understandsome problems in the society, and understand the violence that its being happening around the people you love, and maybe around you.
The first type of violence that the society has in is the domestic violence. Domestic violence is a problem everywhere especially in Afghanistan. Domestic violence is defined as all acts of violence in a home. There are three types of it, and those are physicalabuse, when a man either as a woman is beaten by another. The mental abuse, where the victim is harassed verbally, lowering their self-esteem to make her feel worthless. And the sexual abuse when the sex is forced. There are a lot of organizations in the world that support people suffering from domestic violence as the American Bar Association Commission on Domestic Violence, or Battered Women’sJustice Project (BWJP) who both provide training and technical assistance on civil, legal and criminal justice. I have being reading some articles in the newspapers about the domestic violence in Puerto Rico and I found out that Victims of domestic violence will take about three years to get help to break the cycle of physical and emotional abuse, as reflected a study called 'The New Trends of profileVictim of Domestic Violence'.(Sayas, 2012).
Another problem in the society that I consider as violence is the school bullying. The bullying meaning is use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or she to do what one wants. A person doing this is evading someone privacy, and the things that he has in mind. This is something that it’s really affecting thekids, and teenagers of today. I know a lot of people that has being thru this, but you don’t understand it as well until it happens to you. I’ve being a bullying victim, not as serious as other people but I’ve being one, and it’s hard. A lot of people consider killing themselves to finish with their bullying problems, but that it’s not the option, other become bullies to revenge on others, and thatwhy the bullying grows everyday more. If you are a bully victim, and you are reading this, you should speak. Tell you mom or your dad or an adult that will help a lot. If you keep it inside of you, you will never get out of it, it would be getting worse. You should stop it, and make a difference. There are a also three types of bullying the first one is Assault, includes hitting, kicking, spitting, pushing, stealing, among others, it may be a partner from your school, or even someone in your family. The second one is Verbal Aggression, that one includes insulting, imposing undesired nicknames, teasing, threatening, among others. That usually happens in the classroom. Sometimes people will start calling you undesired names that will bother you. Stop, and speak, that it’s consider asbullying. And the third one is Emotional or psychological aggression, that one includes spreading rumors, manipulating social relationships, exclusion from the group. This is the worse category of bullying and the most use in our schools, and families, and the one that I’ve being suffering for. There are a lot of organizations that can help you with this. Never keep quiet stand up and STOP VIOLENCE.*...
