The use of nuclear energy

The March11 of the 2011 in Japan ,at the 2:46 of afternoon, the country was shaken by an earthquake of 8,9 in the scale of Richter, this earthquake generated an retort as a Tsunami, the wave had a height of 13 feet (4 meters) and this whipped in the northeast coast of the country.
This catastrophe besides bringing about the death of several people, lost of homesand the suffering in generally of the Japanese people. This event also is affecting the environment, since that same day at 17:25 hours, Japan is declared in emergency situation due to a nuclear alert.
This nuclear emergency was announced by the “Agency of Industrial Security and Nuclear of Japan”, since in the Nuclear plant FUKUSHIMA, a series of explosions took place and after this the coolingsystem of several reactors was damaged, these explosions caused that radioactivity steam were freed to the atmosphere, this to alleviate the pressure of the reactors, and this will not take to a still greater disaster.
According to Eduard Rodriguez-Farré radiobiologist of the Council Superior of Scientific researches which describes the consequences of the nuclear accident in Japan mention that theradiation “Neither it is seen nor it smelled, but their effects are long term and will damage the health and the environment during years".
The high levels of radiation in the people can bring an increase in the diseases, for example the radiation can generate more aggressive cancers, and this affects more to the women than to the men.
This disaster has caused that the radiation arrives atseveral countries such as the United States in specific to California, China, Israel, and also Mexico our country has been affected.
This event happened in Japan has caused that the Chernobyl arises again, and that also is compared, both disasters had seven in the scale of the International of Nuclear events and radiological. This has caused that the world returns to debate the advantages anddisadvantages of the use of the nuclear power.
Due to this debate the objective of this essay is knowing ¿which has been the paper and the answer of Japan and the rest of the world is this problem?, to know if a change of thought has occurred about the use of the nuclear power.
After the accident in Fukushima one of the countries with more concern and answer about the problem, is Russia, this countrybegan to realize tests to its nuclear plants to find out if their nuclear power plants are in good conditions and for making be able to be against of any consequence of some natural disaster, and that does not happen again an accident like the one of Chernobyl or the one of Japan.
On the other hand the director of the nuclear power station of NOVORÓNRZH located in center of Russia, VladímirPóvarov, expressed: “We have a plan of training to face failures. One of the most important parts of these tests is to learn what to do in case it lacks water to cool the reactors that are over warmed ".
And Vladimir Putin commented as well: “We are not going to change our plans of energy development atomics”.
Inside the rest of the countries of the European Union also has been a great debate about theuse of nuclear power, since 15 of the 27 members of the European Union have nuclear plants power. By this it is that the chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel announced that she will suspend the nuclear power stations of his country, this suspension will only be by three months, and also a control will be realized in the plants that are in Germany and thus to know its conditions.
Another countryof Europe which also will analyze the conditions of its nuclear plants is Switzerland, thus will suspend the work within its plants, this will be until the new plans of security have been reviewed and approved.
