ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE

Values, beliefs, routines, norms, and expectations shared by employees in a company are known as organizational culture. They are not directly observed, yet their effectsare everywhere. Google implemented a friendly but strong way to run the company which has led Google to always perform well. It is very important for Google to standardize procedures based incomfortable settings by having a democratic and casual environment. Google’s performance is strongly related to its goal of having perfection in the job while having a great time. “We don’t just want you tohave a great job. We want you to have a great life. We provide you with everything you need to be productive and happy on and off the clock 1
In 2004, Google has been recognized as the best place towork for. Googleplex (its headquarters) is decorated with bright colors of the Google logo and widespread spaces, so employees feel free even when they are at work. Having bicycles or scooters totravel between meetings, pool tables, office amenities including massage chairs, ping pong tables, haircuts, complimentary car washes, pianos, dance and yoga class. In addition, healthy lunches anddinners, break rooms offering snack and drinks will lead Google to always maintain its employees satisfied. Therefore, offering these commodities to its employees is a warranty of not only a goodperformance, but also recognition among industry. Google not only has the perfect premises, but also it offers compensation packages: competitive salary, bonus, company-matched 401(k), stock options, maternityand paternity leave, for example. 2
Google’s commitment is that everyone is secure sharing new ideas. Every employee is equally important and contributes to the company’s success. For example, therea few solo offices, everyone else shares cubicles. Google does not have a large middle management which shows that Google’s employees are qualify to work by themselves without any tight supervision....
