INTRODUCTION
BodyTech fitness medical center is the first of its kind in Colombia and the leading firm in the Colombian fitness business. The firm structure, organization and design catched our attention as well as the firm process of internationalization. We will study the parameters of design, age and size, technical system, environment and power of this firm in the following pages. In orderto understand how a firm’s structure can enable the success of a firm.
BODYTECH FITNESS MEDICAL CENTER
BodyTech is the only medical sport club chain in Colombia whose main objective is to promote a better quality of life, wellness and sport performance of its members emphasizing in health in difference of other fitness centers.
* Mission: Betterment of the quality of life of its membersthrough effective training programs where health comes first
* Vision: They see themselves in 2012 as the leading chain of Fitness Medical Centers in Latin-America
In 1997 with the support of the National Guarantees Fund (FNG) two students of the M.B.A. from Los Andes University Nicolás Loaiza and Gigliola Aycardi, that propose for their Thesis Project the creation of a fitness center which mainobjective were the betterment of its members quality of life through exercise, and also proximate to people homes. This way they inaugurate their first headquarter in Chapinero in Bogota, with 800 square foot and 30 employees. It received 1.800 members the first month, when the optimistic projections were 1000 members in six months.
BodyTech is committed to full satisfaction and the achievementof its members objectives, supported by the evolution and continuing actualization in the prescription of exercise, designing agile, effective, healthy and safe training programs, a team of highly qualified and committed to the result of our members, greater geographic coverage with easy access and convenience to meet the needs of its target group, and finally a quality management system based oncontinuous improvement.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF BODYTECH FITNESS MEDICAL CENTER
PARAMETERS OF DESIGN OF ITS ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
1. Work place design
* Specialization: BodyTech has in almost all works a horizontal specialization but not a vertical one, this means that they have professional work places, for example trainers need to have some initiative to make their work,which means they have control in their tasks. Some works as managers, and directors are more vertically and less horizontal specialized, because they have lots of tasks and in some of them they depend in others work.
* Formalization of behavior: BodyTech has a bureaucratic structure, because it has a very define instructions, and described characteristics for each work place. It also have acode of regulation based on three aspects of the firm,
* Values (honesty, transparency, equity, respect, loyalty, solidarity, recognition, and personal development);
* Focuses (planning, executing, controlling, and achieve goals);
* And its quality policy: BODYTECH is committed with the complete satisfaction and the achievement of the goals of its members, supportedby:
* The evolution and constant actualization in the prescription of the exercise, designing agile, effective, healthy and safe training programs.
* Personnel qualified and highly committed to the results of its members.
* Constant implementation of the latest technological trends in the industry.
* High geographical coverage with easy access andconvenience to supply the needs of our target group.
* A quality management system based on continuous improvement.
