*History of Pollution:
Old Cultures and First Pollution Records:
Pollution has been a problem since our earliest ancestors. During the Middle Ages, diseases such as cholera and typhoid fever were all across Europe. These diseases were related to conditions caused by human and animalwastes, and garbage. In 1347, the bacterium Yersinia pestis, carried by rats and spread by fleas, caused the "Black Death" -- an outbreak of bubonic plague.

Monterrey’s Pollution Problem:
Monterrey has placed an increased pollution on wáter. Industries’ discharges has grown at a faster rate than the rest of Mexico. Consequently, availability of clean water resources has been impaired bycontamination from industrial and residential sources along the Rio San Juan. Another river that first became polluted from industrial effluents and then completely dry from overuse is the Santa Catarina River.

Golbal’s Pollution Problem:
The world’s the dangers and the damage caused by pollution is caused by pollutants such as nitrogen and sulphur oxides are now worldwide issues. Poor airquality, serious smog conditions in some urban areas, the formation of acid rain, and the subsequent damaged it causes to water supplies & timber are at the forefront of our environmental concerns. the pressure to become more environmentally responsible increases for those of us that use the combustion process to produce our energy.
*Pollution forms: Air pollution: could be inthe form of the emission of harmful chemical gases or particulates in to the air. Air pollution could also be in the form of disturbances to the normal composition of the air such that there is an undesired effect on the environment or living things.

Water pollution: could be in the form of any change in the physical, chemical and biological properties of water which has a harmfuleffect on living things. It could take place in various water sources, like ponds, lakes, rivers, seas and oceans. Main causes: release of waste into the water
Land pollution: is another of the main types of pollution to the environment. Land pollution is mainly about the contamination and degradation of Earth’s land surfaces. Main causes: when waste from various sources arereleased on the surface.

Degradable: Relating to a compound that breaks down into simpler compounds by stages. During the degradation of a degradable compound, well-defined intermediate products are created.
*Pollutants:
Trash: is trown to te ocean, land and burned damaging the earth and making pollution.
Fertilizers: can cause serious problems if they contaminate freshwater and marineecosystems.
Pesticides: are ve We are exposed through food grown with pesticides or if we use pesticide products in our homes or gardens.
Herbicides: contribute to pollution of groundwater and storm water runoff. The herbicides sprayed onto a plant leach into the ground.
Cyanide: have high acute toxicity to aquatic life, birds, and animals.
Detergents: harm not only the local ecosystem but can alsocause serious health effects in people and animals.
Dispersants: increased toxic hydrocarbon levels in fish by a factor of up to 100 and may kill fish eggs.
Petroleum: Petroleum spill is released into the ocean or coastal waters, damaging animals on the water.
Plastic: is washed out on our coasts in a clearly visible form, the plastic pollution spectacle blatantly unveiling on our beaches, yet mostly originating from where we stand: the land.

*Pollution Levels:
Green House Effect:
A greenhouse gas (sometimes abbreviated GHG) is a gas in an atmosphere that absorbs and emits radiation within the thermal infrared range. This process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect. The primary greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere are water vapour, carbon dioxide,...
