In-Class Activity:

I am writing about this topic because it is becoming a huge part of people’s everyday lives. 50% of the general population is usingergogenic aids and they need to know the dangers and possible side effects of doing so. I also believe that people simply need to be more educated aboutusing supplements in general. The definition of my topic is something that aids in the enhancement of performance. This is a topic that I have becomeincreasingly more interested in throughout my time here at U of M. I am extremely interested in nutrition and exercise and this plays a monumental role withinthat. Obviously, there is much more that I need to learn, but I do feel strongly about this now. I am approaching this topic from an intellectual and anemotional standpoint. I know that I have more knowledge on this subject than most and I believe I have something to contribute to them as well. Additionally, Iam coming at this topic from and emotional aspect because I believe there is a significant amount at stake. There aren’t specifically any people thatappear repeatedly in my work, but there are several terms. For one, ergogenic appears multiple times. One person that does appear is Charles Sequard. My bestresearch method is searching in databases online and reading article after article. I work best in a library because it creates an atmosphere that allows meto think clearly. Still remaining, I need to finish the paper, make my works cited page, organize my paper better, and go over and edit the major parts.
