In colloquial language, the word "phone" also means any system that is connected to a telephone. A system which allows not only voice but also data, images or any other informationthat may become codified and beep. This information travels between the various points on the network. The telephone network is composed of all the transmission paths between subscribers' computersand switching elements used to select a particular route or group of them between two subscribers.
Evolution of the phone.
In 1854, French inventor Charles Bourseul raised the possibility of usingthe vibrations caused by the voice on a floppy disk or diaphragm, to activate and deactivate an electrical circuit and produce similar vibrations in a diaphragm located in a remote location, toreproduce the original sound. Some years later, the German physicist Johann Philip Reis invented an instrument transmitting musical notes, but was not able to reproduce the human voice. In 1877, afterdiscovering that to transmit voice could only use direct current, the Scottish-born American inventor Alexander Graham Bell made the first phone capable of transmitting and receiving human voice in allits quality and timbre.
