American businessman Henry Ford was born, Michigan, 1863-1947 son of a farmer. Having received only an elementary education, he left school to work for his father's farm, but in 1879 he moved to Detroit where he became an apprentice in a machine shop. To help them survive in their low wages he spent his evenings repairing watches and clocks. TheFord returned to Greenfield after his father gave him 40 acres to start their own farm. He disliked farm and spent most of the time trying to build a road car. Unable to stay in Greenfield, Ford returned to Detroit to work as an engineer for the Edison Lighting Company. In 1879 he moved to Detroit where he became trained as a technical engineer in industry of Detroit. As soon as the GermansDaimler and Benz began to launch the first car 1885. Now Ford spent his free time trying to build a car driven by gasoline. Ford was interested in the invention and started building his own prototypes. However, his first attempts failed. His first car was finished in 1896, and was built in a small brick shed in your garden. Led by a two-cylinder, four-cycle engine was mounted on bicycle wheels. Call toThin Lizzie, the car had no reverse gear or brakes. Around August 1899, Ford had raised enough money to start his own company. His first group of investors withdrew after Ford had spent $ 86.000 without producing a car that could be sold. Finally he saw a car that appeared in the Grosse Pointe Blue Ribbon track in Detroit. Her performance helped sell $ 10 parts $ 6,000 in his new company. Thisalso ended in failure and in June 1903, he found the most accommodating twelve people to invest a total of $ 28,000 in another motor company. The Ford now started production of a car model. The car sold well and the company prospered and by 1907 profits totaled $ 1.1 million. In 1909, Ford decided to produce only one type of car, the Model T. In 1925, Ford produced 10.000 cars every 24 hours. Thiswas 60 percent of the total output of American cars. However, his decision not to make new models allowed other companies defy their dominance. By 1927, Ford had sold more than 15 million Model T cars. However, sales were declining and the General Motors Chevrolet was the best selling car. The Ford had a hit in 1938, but returned to run the company after his son, Edsel Ford, died in 1943. Althoughinitially an opponent of the U.S. States that become involved in World War II after Pearl Harbor, Ford overturned its enormous production resources to their country. For example, the Ford plant in Willow Run produced over 8,000 Liberator bombers during the war. Henry Ford died on April 7, 1947. The impact that Henry Ford did to the world was that he introduced the first car to the world. The keyto Ford's success was its method of reducing manufacturing costs: mass production, also known as Fordism. The method, inspired by the work mode slaughterhouses Detroit, was to install an assembly line based belts and slides that were automatically moving car chassis to the posts where successive groups of workers engaged the tasks assigned him, until the car was completely finished. The system ofinterchangeable parts, tested long before American weapons factories and watches, cheapened production and repairs by way of product standardization. The production chain, with which Ford revolutionized the automobile industry, was a gamble, because only viable if demand was able to absorb the mass production market size U.S. offered a framework, but Ford also correctly assessed the purchasingpower of the average American man at the door of the consumer society.

Whenever there was such a demand, the manufacturing chain losses allowed save labor time by not having to move workers from one place to another factory, by exacerbating the recommendations of "scientific management" of F. W. Taylor. Each operation was compartmentalized into a series of mechanical and repetitive tasks, which...
