The person I admire is Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar y Palacios Ponte and white, betterknown as Simón Bolívar, was born in Caracas, July 24, 1783, and was a Venezuelan military and political pre-republican era of the Captaincy General of Venezuela, founder of the Gran Colombia and oneof the leading figures of American emancipation against the Spanish Empire. Contributed decisively to the independence of current Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.

Bolivar's parents were Juan Vicente Bolivar y Ponte-Andrade and his mother Maria de la Concepción Palacios y Blanco, belonged tothe aristocracy Caracas and when they married in 1773 there was a big age difference between spouses. Juan Vicente was 47 years old at the time and Conception 15. They had four sons, three of themolder and lower Simon, whose names were Maria Antonia, Juana Nepomucena, Juan Vicente and Maria del Carmen.
Bolívar was sent to Spain at age 15 to continue his studies. In Madrid in 1800 he met the youngMaría Teresa Rodríguez del Toro and Alaiza when he was only 17 years old and she In August 1800 Maria Teresa accepted the engagement to Simon Bolivar, and were married on May 26, 1802 in the littletheater of Palace of the Duke of Frías, which housed the original parish church of San José; Bolívar was 19 and Maria Teresa 21.
