Proposition
Our project is based on a car, but not just a normal car. This car will be powered by Solar Energy. The main purpose of the Solar Car is to make a toy car run using solar power energy without the need of life limited batteries or electricity usage.

The use of Solar Power Energy will replace life limitedbatteries and electricity consumption by providing the same results of energy function by charging the rechargeable batteries through the use of solar panels that will also contribute to protect the environment by using natural energy.

Scientific Principles
Solar power cars do not require regular batteries. Solar powercars use a special solar rechargeable battery that can be charged through solar panels.
The use of regular batteries for electronic function have a limited life and become expensive and require a special recycling method to prevent environment contamination.
The majority of people are not used to the option of solar energy and end up buying a reasonable number of regular batteries that becomeexpensive to their pockets, so they either stop buying batteries in this case for the R/C car or decide not to buy the R/C car for the same reason. Others use fuel cars, but people who believe in Solar Energy take advantage of the variety of options that Solar Energy provides, such as solar power homes, solar power cars, solar power toys, etc. In contrary, fuel cars cause more waste andpollution in the world.
In 1954, photovoltaic technology was developed. This technology allowed for the conversion of solar energy into power for practical uses. Solar energy was first used for smaller electronics. As efficiency has increased, solar power's uses have advanced, including cars that run on solar power.
A small Solar Car was a 15-inch vehicle invented by William G. Cobb of GeneralMotors is considered the first solar-powered car. It was used to show the possibility of solar energy in the future. Solar cars have solar panels that are attached to --- or built into --- the surface of the car. They are usually made of the lightest materials possible to maximize the generated solar power. In the American Solar Challenge, competitors design, build and race solar cars a distance ofabout 1,500 miles. Currently, solar cars are not suitable for daily use.
As the technology for harnessing solar power develops, it could eliminate the need for burning fossil fuels for energy. According to Maine's Bureau of Air Quality, driving vehicles that burn oil causes more pollution than anything else an individual does on a daily basis. Auto emissions cause an increase in the environmentof these harmful pollutants: hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and particulates. An example of a particulate is soot. Solar-powered cars would greatly reduce the amount of these pollutants in the environment.
Solar cars are expensive to produce because of the high cost of solar cells and panels. Because solar cars rely on the sun's light, they need expensivebatteries to store the energy necessary to run at night and on cloudy days.
A solar vehicle is an electric vehicle powered completely or significantly by direct solar energy. Usually, photovoltaic (PV) cells contained in solar panels convert the sun's energy directly into electric energy. The term "solar vehicle" usually implies that solar energy is used to power all or part of a vehicle's propulsion.Solar power may be also used to provide power for communications or controls or other auxiliary functions. Solar vehicles are not sold as practical day-to-day transportation devices at present, but are primarily demonstration vehicles and engineering exercises, often sponsored by government agencies.
