T will play the CD track for Pgs. 2-4 of the textbook and the SS will follow along with the CD.
It is important to pause the CD as main facts are discussed.

A few waysyou can introduce each set of grammar rules is to do a direct mini-lesson on the board, reviewing each grammar point. Teach each rule and have the SS come to the board to do examples. After teaching the rules it is important to review them in an enjoyable way. Play a variety of grammar games and use questions from the upcoming student work pages.

T will divide the SS into groups of 3-4.
SS will highlight the difference between asteroids,comets and meteors with an informative visual display. Unlike an asteroid, a comet is a collection of ice, dust and small rocks that moves in a long, narrow orbit in distant parts of the solar system. It's rare to see a comet, but meteors, on the other hand, streak across the sky about every ten minutes. Meteors are chunks of an asteroid or comet that has entered Earth's atmosphere.
Groups willwork on research and illustration.
