INTRODUCTION.

Since early days of humankind, people have been involved into the teaching-learning process maybe without the consciousness of conveying knowledge but tosurvival. So caveman started learning through imitating others and maybe other generations did the same; human beings learnt to be more reflexive and understood that teaching and learning had to dowith interesting activities.
Hornbook, globes, were among the tools that teachers used to explain to the students and make the concepts understandable; blackboard was introduced in 1801 and televisionand radio started to be used after World War II. Most of the teaching aids were visual. The aim was to make interesting classes and get the students to improve their way of learning and maybe to usethe tools according to their different learning styles even though teachers didn’t know too much about this topics.

Researchers in education have found now that teaching aids are essential toexplain any concept in any subject and they are so useful that can cause an impact to students when they see, listen to or touch them. Therefore in this paper I’m going to talk about the definition ofteaching aids, their classification, uses and purposes.

Let’s learn more about teaching aids to continue inspiring our students.

THEORETICAL BACKGROUND

There are many sites at Internet wherewe can find information about teaching aids, they tell us of the concept, classification and the way of applying them. Examples are shown in photos or videos, but the authors are not mentioned onlythe institutions that publish those articles.
The contents are about the definition of teaching aids, their classification, how to use them in the classroom and some recommendations.
