THE PUNK

The music industry was going through one of the most difficult moments, after generating several megastars, millionaires and quirky, the groups began to disappear, Deep Purple, BlackSabbath, Yes, Led Zeppeling, Genesis, Kiss, among others lost members or did their last concert. But not only was the music industry sinking into despair, society, amid a global crisis, marked byunemployment, increasing poverty and the new generation full of uncertainty. London was the epicenter of a movement that began because young people didn’t find an answer for the looming dark horizon beforethem. The Punk took his first steps as a form of expression and denouncing rebel.

1. How did this genre emerged?

The Punk is a subculture of urban origin, which emerged in Britain and NorthAmerica and Australia, with London the center, was developed from the late 60's and with more force in the 70's era that reached its height. In those days the rock had taken an impressive force and it wasconsidered a form of expression for young people, but because of the deification of the artists it have lost its way filled with banal and meaningless lyrics, music producers spent lots of money onluxuries and concerts, simply sank into the void and began to be a marketing tool.
Part of their garage rock roots emerge more strongly reappears and introduces simple loud sounds and letters to theirmusic. Since it was a time of crisis and despair social Globally, the Punk Rock in its infancy appears with simple melodies and lyrics gritty, reunited with simplicity. His influence was framed onguitars, picking sounds of bands like The Kinks and The Rolling Stones and The Stooges and Velvet Underground, underground base or intensifying it but, to all that was called proto-punk.
