We use present simple for things that are generally true or habitually happen. It’s not important whether the action is happening at the time of speaking.
AffirmativeI/you/we/they + Verb infinitive – e.g: I usually work at home.
He/she/it + Verb (S or ES) – e.g: Danny knows me very well.

Negative
I/you/we/they + do not (don’t) + verb infinitive – e.g: I don’t work.
He/she/it + doesnot (doesn’t) + verb infinitive – e.g: She doesn’t work.
When we make negative sentences, we add the auxiliary verb don’t/doesn’t and put the main verb in infinitive form.
Question
Do +I/you/we/they + verb infinitive + ? – e.g: Do I work?
Does + He/she/it + verb infinitive + ? – e.g: Does she work?
To answer questions we have two ways:
Do I work? → aff: Yes, I do →neg:No, I don’t.
Does she work? → aff: Yes, she does →neg: No, she doesn’t.
