AIDS is a terrible illness ,affecting millions of people all over the world .Many suffer cancer and relatedconditions and live in pain and isolation .Children lose their parents an often are infected too .Treatment is very expensive and many patients cannot pay for it.Luciano Pavatotti and Elton John are twointernationally recognized performers who have contributed to help AIDS patients get the treatment they need.

In many countries,land mines are buried in places where civilians walk .These minesexplode and hurt people´s feet. They have to be amputated. This terrible situacion makes it hard for them to have a normal life .Juanes and other renowned artists sang in a concert organized to aidColombian children who have been injured by these terrible artifacts .The concert,aid Colombia sin Minas(Colombia Without Mines),took place in Los Angles,in May 2006.
