Resumen
Objetivos: Aplicación práctica de una evaluación completa y tratamiento manual en un problema lumbar que
pueda tener un origen sacroilíaco, comprobar la fiabilidad de los test de provocación de dolor sacroilíaco y
movilidad iliosacra para identificar una disfunción concreta, y comprobar la efectividad de las diferentes
técnicas de terapia manualen las disfunciones iliosacras.
Material y Métodos: Revisión bibliográfica en la base de datos de Medline a través de Pubmed. Descriptor:
“Sacroiliac Joint”- Límite: humanos. Obtengo 2497 artículos. “Sacroiliac joint diagnostic" and therapy- Límite:
humanos. Obtengo 136 artículos, recupero 12. Motivos de inclusión: que incluyen aparte de técnicas de
tratamiento manual de la A.S.I. elementosdiagnósticos para su evaluación. “Sacroiliac Joint” and manual
treatment- Límite: humanos. Obtengo 15 artículos, recupero 5. Motivos de inclusión: que incluyen de técnicas
de tratamiento manual de la A.S.I. Búsqueda de libros de fisioterapia, osteopatía y biomecánica en la biblioteca
de la Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia obteniendo 3 referencias. Un paciente de 42 años con
diagnóstico médicode Lumbalgia. Evaluación completa con ficha de exploración y tratamiento con diferentes
técnicas de terapia manual durante 3 semanas en 4 sesiones.
Resultados: Mejoría clínica del paciente tras el período de tratamiento.
Conclusiones: Relevante importancia realizar una exploración completa del paciente teniendo en cuenta
todas las estructuras que pueden estar implicadas. Los test de provocación dedolor sacroilíaco y de movilidad
iliosacra han sido de gran utilidad y fiabilidad. El tratamiento manual ha sido efectivo en este paciente.

Abstract
Objectives: Practical application of a complete evaluation and manual treatment in a low back pain that could
have a sacroiliac origin, verify the reliability of sacroiliacjoint provocation test, and iliosacrum mobility to identify
a concrete dysfunction, and verify the efficiency of the different modalities of manual therapy in the iliosacrum
dysfunctions.
Material and Methods: Bibliographical review in Medline's database by means of Pubmed. Descriptors:
"Sacroiliac Joint" - Limit: human beings. I obtain 2497 articles; "Sacroiliac joint diagnostic" and therapy -Limit:
human beings. I obtain 136 articles, recover 12. Motives of incorporation: the articles that apart from modalities
of manual treatment of sacroiliac joint have diagnostic elements for his evaluation. "Sacroiliac Joint" and manual
treatment - Limit: human beings. I obtain 15 articles, recover 5. Motives of incorporation: the articles that indicate
modalities of manual treatment of sacroliliacjoint. Search of books of biomechanics, osteopathy, and physical
therapy in the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia obtaining 3 references. A 42-year-old patient with Low
Back Pain´s medical diagnosis. Evaluation completes with card of exploration and treatment with different
modalities of manual therapy for 3 weeks in 4 meetings.
Results: Clinical improvement of the patient after the periodof treatment.
Conclusions: Relevant importance to realize a complete exploration of the patient bearing in mind all the
structures that can be implied. The sacroiliac joint provocation test and iliosacrum mobility have been of great
usefulness and reliability. The manual treatment has been successful in this patient.
