ADJECTIVE CLAUSES

They take the place of the noun or pronoun that precedes them.
Adjective clauses usually begin with a relative pronoun:
who , whose , whom, which, that. They always serve torelate a dependent clause to the rest of the sentence, making the clause modify some noun or pronoun.

Examples:

The train which carried Mr. Smith stopped.
Every student who gave an apple to theteacher got a good grade.
The student whose father owned an apple orchard did a good essay.
The man whom we met yesterday is very rich.
The pies that mother used to make were delicious.
