UD3 AIR AND WATER

TITULO: Air and Water
NIVEL: 2 er ciclo, 3º Curso

TÓPICO: Aire y Agua
TRIMESTRE: 1er trimestre

OBJETIVOS
Science.
1. To identify and pronounce the terminology related to the atmosphere and hydrosphere and use the
vocabulary in the correct context.
2. To identify the different weather conditions and why they occur.
3. To identify andlocate the different ways water accumulates on Earth and distinguish between salt
and fresh water, drinkable and undrinkable water.
Arts.
1. To identify, locate and colour the main rivers, oceans and seas from Andalusia on a map.
2. To draw a landscape including several elements from the hydrosphere (oceans, rivers, lakes, seas,
and so on).
3. To cooperate with others.

CONTENIDOS
Science.
•Presentation and pronunciation of the terminology related to the atmosphere and hydrosphere
and use the vocabulary in the correct context.
• The atmosphere and the different weather conditions.
• The hydrosphere and the water we use.
• The components of the atmosphere, the importance and the way we are causing pollution.
• A sensitive attitude towards the problem of pollution and the shortage of water.
•Interest and curiosity for learning the vocabulary related to the atmosphere and the hydrosphere,
to pronounce the words correctly and use them in the correct context.

Arts.
• Location of large and small bodies of water on maps and descriptions of how we use water.
• Make an artistic composition of a landscape which includes elements from the hydrosphere.

water in seas and rivers.

4. Identifies salt and fresh water, drinkable and undrinkable water and where we can find each one.
Arts.
