The audience of the book is general but it goes mostly for families as the cover of the book inform. It is well develop so any person canunderstand the content of it and get a clear understanding of anemia. It is well organized so that it starts with the basic then getting into it more deeply. The author has fact and opinions from medical and scientific advisors including statictics, pictures, charts that contribute to the understanding of the book.

The book starts very basic explaining what anemia is and a brief explanation of the study of blood and how a doctor will diagnose anemia in a person. It also details causes and treatments of different types of anemia. It explain a lot of different types of anemia, how does each one develops , symptoms, and treatments for each on too. the audience of this book I think isgeneral, its basic information at a level of an elementary and up knowledge so it’s pretty basic. The author of the book is a director of the medical laboratory at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Texas and an assistant professor of pathology at the University Of Texas School Of Medicine, Houston. This book explains what is anemia but also compares it when it comes from a tropical zone. Explains both and then gives the differences of them and the one that dominant in the tropical regions of the world too. it has pictures charts and some cluster so it gives the information more easy understanding for theaudience that its reading it. The audience for this book is the people that lives in tropical area so they are able to notice how anemia develops in this areas. The level of the book is for middle school child since it has words that are at a higher level but still easy to understand when its explain right. Each part has the title well develop and the author looks like it leave or went to and tropicalarea to be able to right about this types of anemia.

Then it continues with the mother and how she can prevent anemia after giving birth and throughout the child life. this book it mostly for mothers that are interested in knowing more about anemia so they can also help their daughters and take care ofthem so anemia does not develop. It seems that the authors of the book were family member so they had this knowledge and decided to put it together with the help of an instituted too.
