The Lighthouse
The lighthouse is an astonishing crime novel written by P.D. James, a renowned British author. This amazing book has a really fascinating plotfull of breath-taking scenes which are impossible to stop reading. There were two scenes which I was deeply fascinated.
The first one was when Mycroft andMillie found Nathan Oliver’s inert body hanging from a rope in the lighthouse, and then Millie started screaming due to the terror that she felt when she saw Oliver’slifeless body, she was just a kid who lived in the most calm place on earth she wasn’t able to cope with this emotional situations. Regarding Maycroft, he wasn’t as shockedas Mille but he was unable to make a rapid response as he was dozen by this situation. Maycroft is a man who is not so used to deal with this kind of situations asusually nothing serious happens on Combe Island. This scene is full of feelings of horror and it is also very relevant for the whole story in concrete, this is why thisscene made a huge impression on me.
The second scene that made the strongest Impression on me is when Adam Dalgliesh and his forensic them arrived at theconclusion that Nathan Oliver was murdered. This notice must have had a strong impact within the people of the island. They started making theories of who the murderer was andthey couldn’t trust anyone as all were possible suspects. This scene amazes me due to its mystery that brings in to the novel.
These to scenes really made thestrongest impression on me but there a lot more of scenes that will take your breath out. You cannot stop reading the book until you have finished it. Its really amazing.
