The science and study of astronomy

INTRODUCTION
Astronomy is the science that comprises the study of celestial bodies in the universe, including the planets and their satellites, comets and meteoroids, stars and interstellar matter, systems of stars, gas and dust known as galaxies and clusters of galaxies at studying their movements and phenomena associated with them. Their research recordand its origin is from the information coming from them through electromagnetic radiation or any other means. Astronomy has been linked to humans since ancient times and all civilizations have had contact with this science. Characters like Aristotle, Thales, Anaxagoras, Aristarchus of Samos, Hipparchus, Ptolemy, Hypatia of Alexandria, Nicholas Copernicus, St. Thomas Aquinas, Tycho Brahe, JohannesKepler, Galileo Galilei, have been some of their growers. It is one of the few sciences where amateurs can still play an active role, especially in the discovery and monitoring of such phenomena as light curves of variable stars, asteroid and comet discovery, etc…
Areas of study of Astronomy
Astronomy is a field that fascinates us as we all know, is also an image of the immeasurable power of God'screation, it is a reflection of a very superior intelligence, see what follows this interesting meets science.
Astrometry. Study of the position of objects in the sky and its changing position. Defines the coordinate system used and the kinematics of objects in our galaxy.
Astrophysics. Study of the physical universe, including astronomical object properties (luminosity, density, temperature, chemical composition).
Cosmology. Study of the origin of the universe and its evolution. The study of cosmology is the ultimate expression of theoretical astrophysics.
Formation and evolution of galaxies. Study of galaxy formation and evolution.
Galactic Astronomy. Study of the structure and components of our galaxy and others.
Extragalactic astronomy. Study of objects outside the Milky Way.Stellar Astronomy. Study of stars, birth, evolution and death.
Stellar Evolution. Study of the evolution of stars from its formation until his death as a stellar dispossession.
Star formation. Study of the conditions and processes leading to the formation of stars within clouds of gas.
Planetary Sciences. Study of Solar System planets and extrasolar planets.
Astrobiology. Study of the emergenceand evolution of biological systems in the universe.
Other fields of study
Archaeoastronomy
Astrochemistry
Astrodynamics
Astronautics
Considering the wavelength of electromagnetic radiation that is observed with the celestial body is divided in astronomy:
Optical Astronomy, when the observation light used exclusively in the wavelengths that can be detected by the human eye, or very closeto it (about 400 to 800 nm. Is the oldest branch [Radioastronomy]. Used for observation radiation with wavelengths of mm to cm, similar to that used in broadcasting. radio astronomy optics and can be accomplished using ground observatories because the atmosphere is transparent at those wavelengths. Infrared Astronomy. Detectors use infrared light (wavelength longer than that corresponding to red).Infrared light is easily absorbed by water vapor, so infrared observatories must be set high, dry sites.
High Energy Astronomy. Includes X-ray astronomy, gamma-ray astronomy and ultraviolet astronomy and the study of neutrinos and cosmic rays. Observations can be made only from balloons or space observatories.

Area length astronomy

General Characteristics, duration of the course: 5 yearsAstronomy is a discipline based on the study of physics and higher mathematics, investigating the formation and evolution of celestial bodies.
The race tends to the formation of trained graduates to develop research and teaching tasks in different areas of that particular field of knowledge.
To study the respective studies are necessary the knowledge acquired in the corresponding stage of...
