TOPIC A: The situation in Syria
The civil war on Syria started on March 15 of 2011 when the protestors of Syriabegan to manifest their disapproval for the government of the nearly five decades of Ba'ath Party rule, as well the resignation of the president Bashar Al-Assad.
The government took a violent postureupon the issue, in April the government deployed the Syrian army to open fire to civilians which developed into a rebellion, the opposition from foreign countries. started to unify making larger groups,as they received weaponry
The extremists acts from Bashar Al-Assad has been condemned by other countries and has been advice that this actions could turn into a foreign intervention.
Syrian civilwar has been going on for 18 months from now, in which Syrian civilians have been raped, murdered and persecuted for their own country, even the soldiers who fight for the Syrian republic has beenkilled because they refuse to murder unarmed Syrian protestors and the constant growth of military capabilities are increasing daily as a result thousands of civilians are killed every day and manyothers are waiting for medical help.
Thousands of Syrian civilians refuge in neighboring countries, unbalancing the economics and society of these countries.
The Delegation of Azerbaijan is deeplyconcerned by the situation in Syria, the extreme violence in Syria must stop, the human rights has been replaced by murder, discrimination and abuses from the security force of Syria.
