A PLACE TO LIVE…
← Habitat: It is the place where a plant or animal lives. The habitatmust provide everything that the living thing needs to survive.
← Adaptation: Organisms have body-device or structures that let them in a severe environment successfully, these body structures arecalled adaptation.
LIVING THINGS NEED ENERGY
Hibernation: The animals can hibernate because of different reasons:
– To rest
– To make balance of their activities.
–To take a time
– Or just because their biological clock orders it.
They don’t feed in all this period because they make a balance. They eat a lot before the time of hibernating and that makethey don’t feel hungry in the process. As they eat a lot, they produce a fat layer, but if they feel hungry, they take it from there (but not only for hungry, also for cold) and then it disappears.Migration: Is the process which birds do when they have to look for better place to live. For example, Bewinc’s swans arrive to Britain in autumm.
LIVING THINGS NEED ENERGY:
Producer: Organismsthat use sunlight directly to make food are called producers. They do this by using a process called photosynthesis.
Consumers: Organisms that eat on other organisms are called consumers. There areseveral kinds of consumers:
▪ Herbivors: A consumer that eats only plants.
▪ Carnivors: A consumer that eats animals.
▪ Omnivors: A consumer that eats both plants and animals.Decomposer: Organisms that get energy by breaking down dead organisms are called decomosers. Bacteria and Fungi are some. These organisms remove stored energy from dead organisms.
Food chain: Is thepathway of energy transfer through various stages as a result of the feeding patterns of a series of organisms.
Food web: a diagram that shows the feeding relationships between organisms in an...
