The beginning of the management goes back to Egyptian times. This has developed to the present day as organizations became more complex. Management activity is related to their theories,planning, organizing, leading, controlling and globalization which I’ll explain below.
Management theories have criteria for determining what is important within an organization allowing efficientcommunication. This is defined as theoretical framework where conceptual systems are used in order to interpret the relationship between two or more observable facts. Management theories are divided inScientific Theory and Classical Theory.
Scientific Theory is popularly because it referred to Frederick Taylor’s Scientific Management. This theory emerged because of the necessity to raise theproductivity. With this objective was created a set of principles called Scientific Management Theory, which was based in four basic principles as to develop a true Management Science that determined thebetter method in order to do goals, the scientific selection of workers where each worker was responsible for the task for which they have skills, the education and development of the worker in scientificway, and the close and friendly cooperation between workers and bosses.
Classical Theory emerged from the need for guidelines to manage complex organizations. In this theory are the work of MaxWeber’s bureaucratic theory and Henri Fayol’s administrative theory. Weber developed a set of principles as fixed and official jurisdictional areas, a firmly ordered hierarchy of super and subordination,management based on written records, thorough and expert training, official activity taking priority over other activities and that management of a given organization follows stable, knowable rules.The bureaucracy was envisioned as a large machine for attaining its goals in the most efficient manner possible.
