In Monterrey, Mexico, 14 years ago, I started to like soccer because of my dad and almost a lot of friends of my childhood. After school my friends and I played soccer atthe park in front of my house until eight o’ clock at night. Then we would go to my house watch the soccer games of our favorite teams for instance Monterrey whichwere also called “Rayados”. All of my friends would like to come to my house because I had the biggest television they would say, so they would just love to come over andwatch all the games there.
Other days we watched other games from Europe like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester United. They are the best teams ever in theworld; each country has their best team. The team Monterrey had won 23rd place of the world out of 320 official teams. It was not a bad place to fall in because it wasout of 320, I was very proud of my team and very proud to be from where I am.
When I lived in Mexico I was very thin because I always played soccer, it is a goodsport because you have to keep on running for like forty-five minutes per half time of the game. The total someone runs if they play the whole entire game is ninetyminutes. It is a very good work out for your legs, chest, and your brain because those are the only body parts that a soccer player can use to play soccer well, anexception to the goalie they have to use their hands in order to stop the ball from going in the goalie. Is someone else in the team besides the goalie touches the ballwith their hands it’s a big foul. Unlike the rest of the sports for instance: football, baseball, basketball, and etc. that can use their hands.
