Use: we use the present simple for: daily routines, repeated actions, habits or permanent states

Structure: auxiliary: do or does (third person)
Affirmative: sub + v + c
Negative: sub + aux + not + v + c
Interrogative: aux + sub + v+ c + ?

Example:
+: I go to New York
He goes to New York
-: I don't go to New York
He doesn't go to New York
? : Do I go to New York?
Does he go toNew York?

Use: we use the present continuous for: actions happening now, at the moment of speaking, action happening around the time speaking, fixes arrangements in the near future, especially when we know the time and the place
Structure: auxiliary: verb to be
Affirmative: sub + verb to be + v+ ing + c
Negative: sub + verb to be + not + v + ing +c
Interrogative: verb to be + sub + v + ing +c + ?

Use: we use the past simple for: actions complete in past, actions which happened at a specific time in past, past habits

Structure: auxiliary: did

Affirmative: sub + v p + c
Negative: sub + aux + not + v+ c
Interrogative: aux + sub + v + c+ ?

Example:

She gave a present
-: I did not give a present
She did not give a present

Did she give a present?

Use: we use the past continuous: for an action which was in progress at a stated time in the past. We do not know when the action started or finished, to give background information in a story,for two of more actions which were happening at the same time in the past (simultaneous actions)

Negative: sub + aux + not + v + ing + c
Interrogative: aux + sub + v + ing + c + ?

Use: we use the present perfect: for actions which started in the past and continue up to the present, to talk about a past action which has a visible result in the present, to refer to an experience,
