INTROSPECTIVE ESSAY
CHIPOTLE´S BURRITO
My favourite product is one that I tasted for the first time past year in March when I went to visit New York with my parents and my brother. This productis a Burrito from the restaurants chain called “Chipotle Mexican Grill”.
The first time I went to one of those restaurants was near the 5th Avenue, just down of the hotel where I slept there. Iwent to have dinner with my little brother, and the first time that focused my attention on the product was that you can choose every single ingredient of the burrito, my favourite ones are chicken,rice, beans, soft sauce, some fajita vegetables and guacamole. Other key point that I like is the way that they wait the table, you have the sense that they are your friends and they are close people,trying to help you. The third important part of my love for this product is the taste; I have never tried any burrito that takes that sense to me, the mix of the product is perfect and specially thegood taste of the guacamole. I have to say that I have tried much Mexican food, my favourite food.
When I went to New York I spent there a week and I went six of the seven days to have dinner to thisplace. The third day I went there, the manager of the restaurant, a Mexican man, began to talk with me and told me the history of his life and how he was a poor person that used to life at the streetwhen he was a child and survived by robbing people, and how by his efforts he was growing in his working life. I am still in contact with him, and like 3 months ago from now, he sent me and emailtelling me that right now he is the person who has the control of the most Chipotle´s restaurants that you can find in Manhattan. That was happy news for me. So I have to say, perhaps, that I like theseproducts not only for the good taste also for the personal connection that I have had with this person.
