Christmas In Usa

In the United States my family and I celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Weeks before Christmas we decorate our Christmas tree, our home andgarden with lots of lights and Christmas decorations. We place the Nativity Scene in the living room to wait for the coming of Jesus. Wedrive around the neighborhoods to see all the houses lit and decorated and Christmas Carols sung by different families.
In New Mexico, where myfather is from, they illuminate with luminarias that helped to light the way for the lodgings, a nine-day Christmas celebration that reenactsMary and Joseph’s search for shelter in Bethlehem.
My mother prepares a turkey and ham dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans,yams and gravy for us to eat on Christmas Eve.
We go to mass on the 24th of December and after mass we come home to eat our Christmas dinner.We give thanks for all that has been given to us throughout the year. After dinner we sit in the living room giving out presents to everyone.We leave a special key on the front door so Santa can come in. We leave him a glass of milk, cookies and for his reindeer some carrots. OnChristmas morning we see Christ is in the manger with Mary and Joseph, we give thanks to God for Jesus is born. And lastly we go to the tree tosee all the gifts Santa has brought. We visit relatives and share a meal. This is how my family celebrated Christmas in the United States.
