PHASE 1: EVAPORATION
The sun heats the water in the sea, riversand lakes. When heated, some of this water evaporates and forms: water vapor.
STEP 2: CONDENSATION
Gas-Liquid When it reaches a certain height in theatmosphere water vapor turns into water droplets that rise into the air and clouds form.
PHASE 3: PRECIPITATION
Liquid-Liquid When the clouds reach colderareas, the water droplets are grouped. Then fall as rain.
PHASE 4: INFILTRATION
The streams and rivers collect water from rain or melting snow and finallytransported to the sea.
PHASE 5: SURFACE RUNOFF
The soil absorbs some of the falling waters and groundwater as they go to the ocean.
