Abstract
Through time there have been wars that are necessary and others that simply were inexcusable. Religions were the ones that first began to think in just and unjust wars. For example, Jewish law believes in the obligatory wayin which the opponent shows aggression; permissible war in which the adversary is prepared to attack; and forbidden aggressive, expansionist wars. Besides, Islam religion allows only holy wars which are against the ones that do not believe in the true Islam. Medieval Church considered legal wars by simply having legitimate purposes. An example of this is President Bush and his ideal to fightagainst terrorism. On September 9, 2001, there was a terrorist attack in the United States in which the terrorist from the Islam group called Al-Qaeda crashed two planes and the twin towers collapsed. Therefore, the United States declared the War on Terror invading Afghanistan to overthrow the Taliban regime. In this paper, we explain why Afghan War is considered a just war. It is also believed that the evil actions the United States made against Afghanistan are paid off by the good strategies it had made.

For this reason it has been known as an important and fertile land that has even been subject to wars. The vast landscape of mountains and deserts has made it a hard for nations to take the land and easy for the independent people maintain. This has made the nation be one in itself; as many of these independent people form alliances and don’t cooperate with the Afghanistanregime.
It is said that Saint Thomas Aquinas took a pacifist look in his just war theory. In his Summa Theologica he focused on the chapter of Matthew 5:39 that states: ‘Do not resist evil’ which meant by him to be patient in the light of the just war. He was against any resort to armed force, and therefore preferred a sort of pacifism. He proposed three principles which need to meet before a...
