Santiago was in Tanger without money, his sheep and hefelt so bad. There was a crystal merchant who had been in the same place for thirty years: a shop at the top of a hilly street and the only thing he had ever learned to do was to buy and sell crystalglasses. Santiago arrived to the crystal’s store and cleaned the glasses in the window. The crystal merchant gave him foos, then Santiago worked in the crystal’s store and said to the merchant “Let’ssell tea to the people who clib the hill and the merchant said that lots of places sell tea around there”. But Santiago wants to sell tea in the crystal glasses. The merchant said that he didn’t wantto change anything because he didn’t know how to deal with change, then Santiago talked with the merchant and sold tea in the crystals. The crystal shop got very famous and a lot of people bought teaand crystal.

The months passed and the boy left, the merchant understood that he would change something in his life to find his personal legend.
- The perseverance
Santiago had a repetitivedream, that said he would went to the pyramids to find his treasure. Firstly he was incredulous, he supposed that was only a dream, but when he visited to the old man who see dreams, he convinced that hewould went to found his treasure.

He sold his sheep, then he worked a lot of time in a crystal store. He earn a lot of money for travel. Then he cross all the desert in a travel but it wasn’teasy, because they was in the middle of battles and he would to take shelter in an oasis because the war was more and more critical, but in the oasis he meet with Fatima who finally he felt in love withher.
Santiago thinks in not travel more. He thinks that his final destiny was Fatima, but then he be found that he must continue with his travel, whit persistence he arrived to Egypt.
