History
After the first world war and the fall of the austro-hungarian empire, Croatia togueter with dalmatia and Istria formed part of the Serbian Croatian and Slovenian kingdom(wichbecame in 1929 in the kingdom of Yugoslavia and 1944 in the republic of Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was invaded by germian in the second world war, croacia became the independentestate ofCroatia but after the Nazis defeat it became a federal socialist estate, ruled josip broz tito. In 1991, Croatia declars its independence from Yugoslavia.croatia expected to join Europeanunion in 2013.
Geography
Croatia is in the north-east of the Adriatic Sea. It borders with Slovenia and Hungarian the north, with Serbia and Montenegro in the east, andBosnia-Herzegovina in the south and the east. The principal tourist attraction of croatia are its beaches. The country has 1.778 km of coast line.
