Daft Punk is a French electronic music duo formed by musicians Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. They met in high school in Paris,France.
In 1992, Lawra Brancowitz to know which created an Indie Rock group called Darlin.
Daft Punk's name comes from the epithet "a bunch of Daft Punk" which gave the British magazine MelodyMaker in the duo's first collaboration (a group called Darlin guitar, inspired both the Beach Boys).
The gender of the group is composed of the house record keeping and ballad rock with touches offunk, techno and synth.
The first single from Daft Punk The New Wave (Soma, 1993) was followed by his first commercial success of his Da Funk album Homework (1997).
The Daft Punk duo is known forthe use of imagery in their peculiar musical productions: for example, the duo appeared dressed as robots in their advertising images and interviews. The album became the Discovery track music animefilm Interstella 5555, which co-produced with Leiji Matsumoto which was accompanied by a remix album called "Daft Club".
On March 14, 2005, Daft Punk released an album called Human After All, whichcontains ten songs with a duration of 40 minutes, and completed in a period of six weeks. The disc's most famous singles are "Technologic," "Robot Rock" and "Human After All."
Daft Punk recentlybecame a 'greatest hits' (greatest hits), a collection on CD / DVD entitled "Musique Vol 1 1993-2005", released on April 4, 2006. There was the rumor that a binding measure due to his contract withVirgin Records.En this collection there are new videos as "Prime Time of Your Life" and "Robot Rock (Maximum Overdrive)".
