Devexpress error

I've recently upgraded my entire project from v9.2 to v10.2. I manually upgraded all references to the new version. The project builds and runs just as before without problem.However, I can no longer open any form in the designer that contains the SplitContainerControl but instead receive the error '..SplitContainerControl is either undeclared or neverassigned to'

I found this thread on your site...http://www.devexpress.com/Support/Center/p/B149525.aspx which suggests to me I'm not the only person who has had an issue with upgrade.Could you suggest a way I can fix this error.
