Minimally invasive approaches have advanced considerably over the past decade, anticipating that patients will experience reduced postoperative pain, improved physiologic muscle function, and more acceptable cosmetic results. Our aim is to help develop technicalinnovations for evolving more patient friendly minimally invasive surgical procedures that yet can maintain or even exceed the long term results of proven conventional procedures. In close cooperation with surgeons and industry partners we are therefore advancing our comprehensive product range for Neurosurgery, with a focus on less traumatic, minimally invasive procedures, to restore and maintainthe function of the spine or to achieve the goal of total removal of tumors and vascular lesions. This new catalogue illustrates products developed and selected in collaboration with key surgeons who have shared their trust in our many years of experience and profound expertise in the production of some of the highest quality surgical instruments available. Our new detachable Spinal IVD and Laminectomy Rongeurs meet the highest standard hygiene requirements for avoiding surgical site infections. While multiple-component instruments are usually difficult to process, our detachable rongeurs ensure easy handling, efficient cleaning and effectivesterilization. The particular advantages are: • excellent cutting properties • lasting durability • easy bone removal • safe and easy detaching • efficient cleaning and sterilization of the total instrument • all parts stay together and thus cannot get lost • easy and quick assembly Minimally invasive spinal approaches have advanced considerably over the past decade, anticipating that patients willexperience reduced postoperative pain, improved physiologic muscle function, and more acceptable cosmetic results. Whether a true percutaneous approach, through a tubular dilator retractor approach, or a muscle splitting approach is the method of choice, our special bayonet-shaped rongeurs with slim shafts will provide the surgeon with the visibility, the deep reach and the preferential instrumentmaneuverability required.
